Cheryl Morningstar Lost Lake Loppet

Whistler Nordics is proud to present the 32nd annual Whistler Loppet, one of the longest running events in town. Join us on Sunday, February 16th, 2025 with multiple course options including a kids course, recreational and competitive options.

Now renamed the Cheryl Morningstar Lost Lake Loppet, the Loppet starts and finishes at the Lost Lake PassivHaus and follows trails in Lost Lake.

Cheryl Morningstar was one of the pioneers of the Nordic scene in Whistler. She made incredible contributions to the Whistler cross-country community when it was first developing. She devoted hundreds of hours to support the Jackrabbit program, Track Attack, the Whistler Nordics Ski Club, and organizing the Whistler Loppet at Lost Lake. Cheryl passed away in 2019 and she continues to be missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and the Sea to Sky Nordic community.

Race format:

All distances are open to any age and either skate or classic technique. Recreational kids aged 8 and under can tackle a 3 km course, while older kids and recreational skiers can do a 9 km loop that includes some more challenging terrain.

The 18 km competition course includes two laps at Lost Lake Park, including the Upper Chateau Whistler Golf Course fairways, depending on conditions.
